Located just a 20-minute drive northeast of Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena is the perfect blend of city and suburb. With its own rich history and culture, the “city of roses” is full of craftsman homes and historical buildings, as well as great shopping districts, restaurants, and business centers, such as Old Pasadena, Paseo Colorado, and the South Lake Shopping District. Pasadena is also known for landmarks such as the Gamble House, the Rose Bowl, Eaton Canyon, Brookside Golf & Country Club, the Kidspace Science Museum, the Norton Simon Museum, the USC Pacific Asia Museum, and Castle Green, as well as famous institutions and schools such as California Institute of Technology, ArtCenter College of Art & Design, as well as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). With tree-lined streets and public parks all over town, Pasadena is filled with charm. Every year, visitors from all over travel to see the annual Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day.
